The Summer Reading Club program is a fun literacy program developed to encourage a love of reading in children and teenagers. The National program is led by the State Library of Queensland (SLQ) in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and other state and public libraries across Australia.
Inspired by the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, the Summer Reading Club theme for 2017 was ‘Game On’. The action centres around a sci-fi universe populated by animal characters representing different styles of gaming in another world. Winning Media art directed the illustration, working closely with Greg Jackson from Twist Illustration.
The new website was designed and developed and served as the main platform for kids to engage with libraries online. We also developed the logo and created a number of print assets such as stickers, bookmarks, posters and more to deliver a consistent campaign for 2017.
