The Objective

Winning Media was initially brought in to refresh the brand and promote the value the practitioners offer patients within a group practice. The client needed a brand that would increase visibility, generate patient referrals, and most importantly create a sense of trust between patients and specialist. The brand would need to give the practitioners a chance to promote their skills equally and create a sense of unity within the practice.


What we did

After initial meeting, it was clear that our strategy needed to focus on building a united brand for the specialists. We quickly began working on a new name that created a clear direction for the practice and would allow them to continue working under one name to avoid confusion amongst patients. We crafted the name GYON – a simple combination of gynaecology and obstetrics.

The naming process was a top priority as this built the foundation for the rest of the strategy. We crafted the logo and visual direction of the new brand, which focuses on a simple, calming and elegant design. The lotus flower, which is used as a support logomark, symbolises purity, fertility, compassion, and transformation, all of which resonates with the approach GYON was seeking. The calming and neutral colour palette we selected further complements their brand vision.

We designed a new website and secured several social media accounts to help elevate their avenues of communication with patients. Having a functional website and online presence will not only allow GYON to build a relationship with their patients but will also give them a platform to provide information about the practice, their services and the specialists working under the name.

The Challenges

The challenge was in not having a clear vision and not understanding how to build trust between new specialists and existing patients through the brand. There was a lack of understanding amongst patients that the practice works as a team rather than individual specialists.

The Results

Winning Media’s strategy allowed for the client to launch a strong initial offering to substantiate the brand within the medical industry under the new name, GYON. Together we created a unique brand with distinctive language and visuals, allowing them to stand out amongst their competitors. Their new brand communicates trustworthiness, precision, and reliability, and now has the capacity to build strong, positive relationships with new patients as the only Gynaecology and Oncology group practice in Queensland.
